The New Zealand Deer Stalkers Association (Whanganui Branch) has become the 49th club in the NZDA nationwide network of clubs.
The New Zealand Deerstalkers Association is the national body representing recreational hunters, aiming to protect, advance, and advocate for the rights of hunters and shooting enthusiasts in New Zealand. “We are committed to promoting safe and ethical hunting practices, educating hunters, promoting native flora and fauna, and ensuring access to outdoor recreational opportunities for all New Zealanders.”
Ian Churchouse, President of NZDA Whanganui Branch, says, “This significant milestone marks a continued expansion of the NZDA's reach throughout New Zealand and allows us to support and grow recreational hunting in the Whanganui region.”
The history of the Whanganui branch goes back to 1949. It now goes under the name of the Hunting and Outdoors Club Whanganui. Ian says, “We have grown and evolved, which has seen a rebrand of the Club with a new name and wider variety of offerings. We're keen to grow our numbers and keep evolving, so if you're interested to learn more, get in touch today.”
