Whanganui Deer Stalkers Branch Becomes 49th NZDA Club
The New Zealand Deer Stalkers Association (Whanganui Branch) has proudly become the 49th club in the NZDA nationwide network of clubs, enhancing the opportunities for nzda membership across the region.
The New Zealand Deerstalkers Association serves as the national body for recreational hunters, dedicated to protecting, advancing, and advocating for the rights of hunters and shooting enthusiasts throughout New Zealand. “We are committed to promoting safe and ethical hunting practices, educating hunters, preserving native flora and fauna, and ensuring that all New Zealanders have access to outdoor recreational opportunities.”
Ian Churchouse, President of the NZDA Whanganui Branch, states, “This significant milestone signifies the ongoing expansion of the NZDA's influence across New Zealand and empowers us to support and nurture recreational hunting in the Whanganui region.”
The history of the Whanganui hunting club dates back to 1949, now operating under the name Hunting and Outdoors Club Whanganui. Ian shares, “We have grown and evolved, leading to a rebrand of the club with a new name and a wider variety of offerings.
